BODYWORK: Sessions can feel like a "mini-vacation", offering a "pause" or time to catch your breath, releasing tension and restriction, and allowing you to feel supported.

Specializing in bodywork sessions that are primarily Zero Balancing combined with Fascial Release Therapy ( see "Types of Sessions" page), and often soft tissue manipulation (which is basically massage), and always drawing from my training as musician, dancer and dance teacher, homeopath, and yoga teacher.

THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE IS ALSO AVAILABLE: traditional massage: Swedish, relaxation, deep tisssue.

MOVEMENT EDUCATION: I am the developer of Dynamic Balanced Movement (see "Types of Sessions" page). I teach dance classes and other movement/corrective movement classes: ballet, modern dance, conditioning, yoga, Dynamic Balanced Movement classes geared towards a specific focus (i.e., "Dynamic Balanced Movement: Back Pain", or "Dynamic Balanced Movement: Basic Yoga Asanas"), and classes for seniors and those who have not been exercising. I offer individual sessions as well.

Movement Education and Functional Movement Repatterning are always a part of what I do - when I assess, look at, touch, and work with the body, I see and experience from these perspectives as well. Clients can experience Movement Education or Functional Movement Repatterning sessions separately from bodywork, or as part of my approach to bodywork.

Bodywork Beyond Massage...........

My bodywork sessions are based on a holistic and functional movement approach, and are designed to be integrated into the client's entire body.


I specialize in Zero Balancing and Fascial Release Therapy, and how the patterns of energy and weight transfer and use travel through our body structure.

Although bodywork sessions can focus primarily on either the physical or the "inner peace" aspect of treatment, each session, by the nature of the work, addresses our full Body/Mind/Spirit, and leaves clients feeling deeply rested and rejuvinated.

Classes, workshops, and individual sessions in Dynamic Balanced Movement (Movement Education and Repatterning, ballet, modern dance, yoga, conditioning) and Dynamic Wellness are also available.

Breath Correctives and Conditioning

We will use breath to help bring awareness to our movement patterns, focusing on freeing the diaphragm so our breath supports our movement. This will help soothe the nervous system, and allow the body to strenghten more readily. Mat work and standing.

DYNAMIC BALANCED MOVEMENT: Work Out

(Cardio and Strength)

Have you tried a workout class but found it hurt your back/knees, or you couldn't "keep up"?

Come try this class!

This new class will explore a basic workout that includes movements from "barre" workout classes. We will apply the principles of Dynamic Balanced Movement to everything we do, giving attention to proper bio-mechanical alignment, and how energy and weight transfer and use effect our bodies.

We will start out with a few basic movement sequences and fewer "reps", and build the full 15 minute workout over the course of a number of classes, increasing the number of "reps" and the difficulty of the class.

Classes are 30 minutes and will be held in N. Amherst. If there is enough interest, we can add a half an hour of combined modern dance/yoga.

Introduction Class: Cost: $12

4 Class Series: Cost: $38

Pre-registration is required. This helps me to get to know what physical issues each student may be working with.

"Let's Get Moving!"

This class consists of simple, everyday movements combined with more dance-like movements, set to music, and is appropriate for those who have not been moving around too much lately. Designed for increased health. "Let's Get Moving" Level 1 is for those who have not been moving much at all; "Let's Get Moving" Level 2 is for those who are ready to do a slightly more strenuous class, with more moving around the room.


Wear comfortable clothing, shoes you can move around in, and come ready to have fun!

Classes are 45 minutes.

Back pain can limit our ability to function well and be present in our lives. I will talk about some treatment options that can bring relief, and present some basic postural principles and simple exercises.

Introduction to DYNAMIC BALANCED MOVEMENT: Back Pain

1.5 hour introductory class

You will learn some basic postural concepts and simple exercises that can help alleviate back pain.

DYNAMIC BALANCED MOVEMENT: Back Pain

This class will help to increase your awareness of your "Internal Landscape", and teach you about more healthful ways to find and maintain balanced alignment.

Basic postural concepts, guided imagery, and hands-on corrections.

When we are without the constant struggle to maintain physical balance/adjust to physical discomfort, our bodies can find both freedom and grounding, and our "psyche" can release protective holding, finding more patience, energy, and ease.

6 sessions: The 1st session is an individual session and must occur prior to the first group class. Cost: $120

Introduction to DYNAMIC BALANCED MOVEMENT

DYNAMIC BALANCED MOVEMENT is a synthesis of different approaches to experiential anatomy, bodywork techniques, and dance techniques. It is NOT a dance class.

It is an approach to movement and stillness that combines a practical understanding of how our bodies are designed to move with an understanding of how our habitual postural and thought patterns can interfere with optimum use of that design. Focusing on proper biomechanical body use and quality of movement, Dynamic Balanced Movement explores how the patterns of energy and weight transfer and use dictate how we move/rest in stillness.

This 4 hour introduction workshop will look at the design and function of some key areas of the body. We will learn some exercises for these areas that embody some of the principles of Dynamic Balanced Movement.

This class is suitable for anyone to take, and is offered periodically.

The goal of this class is for participants to come away with increased awareness and some "tools" they can use to bring more ease and comfort into their bodies/practice.
